My first thought...

Alright. I think this is Viet's way of redirecting the few spare times that I have from online shopping to something a little bit more productive. (Phbbbt!) On a good note, this might actually help me de-stress as I put my thoughts into words (ala "Dear Diary") and hopefully get some good advice/feedback from everybody.

Viet and I have been stressing out for the past month or so about school. Our daughter is starting out kindergarten in August and our dilemma is which school to send her to. We are and we will continue to supplement her learning at home; but my questions remain, "Do teaching styles predictive of a child's success?" and "Does paying more mean better quality?"

Our options are...

Franklin Elementary (a public school)...
Pros: Very well established (late 1860s), GATE program, FREE
Concern(s): Old building (1955) in a modular-type setting and country location (right beside a cemetary and a 55mph road)

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (a Catholic school)...
Pros: Faith-based learning, teacher's aide in every class, well-kept classrooms
Concern(s): Academic performance is unknown, $4K tuition

Merryhill (a private school)...
Pros: Project and activity based learning, very low student-teacher ratio, school is equipped with 21st century technology
Concern(s): $8k tuition (translation: strictly no more shopping or I return to work sooner than planned)
