Trip to Ikea

Last Saturday, after taking the kids to Fairytale Town, we all headed to Ikea for lunch and some window shopping. A trip to Ikea used to be a drag for everybody else but yours truly. Recently, however, everybody seems to get excited about it. I don't exactly know when it happened, but Ikea has become a destination for us. Imee enjoys playing in Smaland. Viet loves their value meals (especially the meatballs ). And Tristan, well, he's just happy to get out of the house.

I have always been a fan of its "Marketplace" especially the kitchen section. I find most things they sell from pots and pans to plates and drinking glasses very durable.  It is also one of the places that I go to when I'm on a tight budget but has a burning itch to furnish or accessorize the house. I tell you, Ikea is not a place for compulsive shoppers.

It's no secret that anything bought from Ikea needs to be assembled. To be honest, it can be a tedious task, especially when you are trying to assemble a set (or 2 or more) of wardrobes. One thing to consider is that quality is not the same for all products. But so far, I haven't had any bad purchases (no wobbly things nor parts not fitting). This is the reason why I keep coming back.
